The American Heart Association BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. The course prepares participants to respond to cardiac arrest, respiratory emergencies, and other life-threatening situations until more advanced care is available. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years.
The BLS course covers:
• Adult, child, and infant CPR
• One-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR
• High-quality CPR and team dynamics
• AED use
• Bag-mask ventilation
• Choking relief
• Special resuscitation situations
